Volunteer at The Clean Energy for Homes Conference

January 20, 2026 · Building Performance Association (BPA) · Score: 38

This is a call for volunteers at an industry trade show, not a homeowner program, but it's worth knowing about if you're curious about the energy-efficiency field. The Clean Energy for Homes Conference and Trade Show is set for May 28-29 in Saratoga Springs, New York, and organizers are looking for volunteers to serve as session assistants.

Session assistants help sessions run smoothly by introducing speakers, tracking attendance, helping with time management and setup, and staying in the room to help attendees. Volunteers need to commit to all conference days and attend every session in their assigned track, along with bringing a friendly, helpful attitude. In return, volunteers get free conference registration, which covers the general session, exhibit hall, education sessions, meals, receptions, and continuing education credits. Lodging is not included.

This isn't a rebate or upgrade program for your house, but conferences like this are where the people who design efficiency programs, rebates, and technology (things like heat pumps, which move heat instead of generating it, or building tightness testing) gather to share information. If you want to learn more or apply to volunteer, the contact is Bethany Dittmar Sowinski, Director of Education & Events, at [email protected].
