Retrofit Relay
Legal

Terms of service.

The rules that govern your use of retrofitrelay.com. Effective July 2, 2026. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

01 · The service

What Retrofit Relay is

An information and matching service — not a contractor, lender, or government agency.

Rebate information

Retrofit Relay aggregates information about federal, state, and utility energy efficiency rebates and incentives. We work to keep it accurate and current, but programs change frequently — funding runs out, deadlines move, and eligibility rules get amended. Rebate amounts and eligibility shown on this site are informational estimates, not guarantees. Always confirm details with the program administrator before making a purchase decision.

Contractor matching

When you submit a quote request, we share it with up to three contractor partners matched to your location and project, as described in our privacy policy. Retrofit Relay is not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor. We do not perform home improvement work, and we do not endorse, warrant, or guarantee any contractor's licensing, work quality, pricing, or conduct. Vet any contractor before hiring them — check licenses, insurance, and references.

Not professional advice

Content on this site is general information, not tax, legal, financial, or engineering advice. Tax credits in particular depend on your individual situation — consult a tax professional.

02 · Your use

Acceptable use

What we ask of you when you use the site.

Accurate information

When you submit a quote request, you agree to provide accurate information about yourself and your project, and you represent that the phone number and email address you provide are your own. Submitting someone else's contact information without their permission is prohibited.

Prohibited conduct

You may not scrape, harvest, or bulk-download site content or lead data; submit false or fraudulent quote requests; interfere with the operation of the site; or use the site for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access for violations.

Intellectual property

The site's content, design, and branding belong to Retrofit Relay or its licensors. You may link to and share our pages; you may not republish substantial portions of the site without permission.

03 · Liability

Disclaimers and limits

The legal boundaries of what we're responsible for.

As-is service

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Retrofit Relay is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or from any interaction with a matched contractor — including missed rebates, denied applications, or disputes over contractor work. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

Third-party sites and programs

We link to government program pages, utility sites, and other third-party resources. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or how they handle your information.
