Retrofit Relay
Legal

Privacy policy.

How we collect, use, store, and share your information. Effective July 2, 2026.

01 · Collection

What we collect

We collect only what we need to match you with rebates and contractors.

Information you give us

When you request contractor quotes or rebate information, we collect the details you enter in the form: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and the home upgrade you're interested in (for example heat pumps, insulation, or an energy audit). Some forms also ask about your home, such as heating fuel type or project timeline.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect standard technical data when you visit: pages viewed, referring page, browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

Consent documentation

We plan to use TrustedForm, an independent consent-verification service, to create a certificate documenting each form submission — including a record of the page you saw and the consent language you agreed to. This protects both you and the contractors who receive your request by proving exactly what you consented to and when.

02 · Use & sharing

How we use and share it

Your quote request exists to connect you with contractors. Here is exactly who sees it.

Where your data lives

Form submissions are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) on infrastructure in the United States. Access is restricted to Retrofit Relay and the service providers who operate our systems.

Sharing with matched contractors

When you submit a quote request, we share your contact information and project details with up to three (3) contractor partners matched to your location and project type, so they can contact you with quotes. This sharing is the core of the service you're requesting. We do not share your information with contractors unless you submit a quote request, and we do not sell your information to data brokers or unrelated marketers.

Service providers

We use third-party providers to run the site — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and consent verification. They process your data only on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Email updates

If you request rebate information by email, we use your email address to send it, along with occasional updates about rebate programs in your state. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

03 · TCPA consent

Phone and text consent

What you agree to when you check the consent box on a quote request form.

Consent summary

By checking the consent box and submitting a quote request, you provide your express written consent for Retrofit Relay and up to three matched contractor partners to contact you at the phone number you provided — by phone call and text message, including calls and texts placed using automated technology or prerecorded messages — about your quote request. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent is not required to buy anything

Your consent to be contacted is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. You can always contact contractors directly on your own.

Revoking consent

You can revoke consent at any time: reply STOP to any text message, tell any caller you no longer wish to be contacted, or email us at [email protected] and we'll remove you from contact lists and notify the contractors who received your request.

04 · Your rights

Access, deletion, and opt-out

You stay in control of your information.

Access and deletion

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. Note that deletion from our systems does not automatically delete copies already shared with contractors you were matched with — we'll tell you which contractors received your information so you can contact them directly, and we'll forward your deletion request to them.

State privacy rights

Some states (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others) give residents additional rights, including the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by state law. Because we share quote requests with contractor partners, that sharing may qualify under some state definitions. To exercise any state privacy right — including opt-out — email [email protected] with your state of residence and the right you want to exercise. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their privacy rights.

Children

This site is intended for homeowners and renters 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll post changes here with a new effective date, and for material changes affecting how we share your information we'll provide notice on the site or by email.
