Pebble Flow electric RV towed by TELO’s MINI-sized electric truck
This isn't about home energy upgrades, but it touches on EV ownership and charging costs, so here's the gist. Two small EV startups, Pebble and TELO, showed off a demo where TELO's compact electric pickup, the MT1, towed Pebble's Flow electric travel trailer. What makes it notable is that the trailer weighs 5,800 pounds dry, more than you'd expect a small truck to handle, but the Flow has its own dual-motor drivetrain and battery that actively push the trailer forward instead of just riding along as dead weight. That cuts the load on the tow vehicle and, according to Pebble's numbers, improves towing efficiency by roughly 29 percent at highway speed.
Both vehicles are still niche products. The MT1 starts around $41,500 and is aiming for low-volume production later this year. The Flow's cheaper trim runs $139,500, with a sub-$115,000 base version expected in late 2026 or early 2027. Buying both together would cost north of $180,000, so this is more a proof of concept than a practical camping setup for most people.
The one point that connects to your own house: charging an EV or an electric trailer battery at home costs less if that electricity comes from your own solar panels, especially as utility rates keep rising. If you're weighing solar for reasons like that, it's worth comparing quotes from installers in your area to see what makes sense for your situation.
