Maine Increases Heat Pump Rebates for 2026, Adds Whole-Home Bonus

Efficiency Maine has increased heat pump rebate amounts for 2026 and added a $500 whole-home heat pump bonus for upgrades completed between March 1 and December 31, 2026. Low-income households can receive up to $3,000 per unit (max $9,000), moderate-income up to $2,000 per unit (max $6,000), and any-income homeowners up to $1,000 per unit (max $3,000). The whole-home bonus requires that systems be sized for at least 80% of the home's peak heating load.
