Chinese electric vehicle maker NIO delivered 35,934 vehicles in July, up 71 percent from July 2025 but down slightly from June 2026's 40,597. The company's brands include NIO, ONVO, and FIREFLY, which split the July total as 20,008, 10,155, and 5,771 vehicles respectively. Through the first seven months of 2026, NIO has delivered 227,057 vehicles, and its total deliveries since the company started number just over 1.2 million.
NIO also flagged a milestone for its ES8 SUV, which passed 130,000 cumulative deliveries about ten months after its late-September 2025 launch. The company recently began delivering a five-seat version of the ES8, adding to five-, six-, and seven-seat configurations already on the market, and is positioning the lineup as a leader among premium electric SUVs.
This is a sales report on a Chinese automaker, not a program or policy change tied to U.S. homeowners. NIO does not currently sell vehicles in the United States, so this news does not affect home electric vehicle charging plans, rebates, or upgrade decisions for American readers. It is worth watching mainly as a sign of how fast the global EV market is growing, which can shape battery and charging technology that eventually reaches U.S. buyers.
