Lucid unveils its 2027 Air EV lineup with a new Stealth package

August 19, 2026 · Electrek · Score: 23

Lucid has released its 2027 Air lineup, with prices holding steady across all four trims: the Pure ($70,900), Touring ($79,900), Grand Touring ($114,900), and Sapphire ($249,000). That's notable given tariffs on imported vehicles and parts have been pushing up costs industry-wide, and the $7,500 federal EV tax credit expired at the end of September 2025. The Grand Touring remains the longest-range EV sold in the US, rated up to 512 miles.

The main change for 2027 is a simplified options list on the entry-level Pure trim, plus a new $6,250 Stealth & Sound Package that bundles popular add-ons into one choice. That package includes a pick of 19-inch or 20-inch wheels and a choice of three metallic paint colors. The Touring, Grand Touring, and Sapphire trims carry over largely unchanged.

None of this changes what it costs to charge an EV at home, but if you're weighing an electric car purchase alongside home upgrades, it's worth remembering that home solar can offset a good share of your charging costs over time, especially as electricity rates keep rising. That's a separate decision from the car itself, but the two often get planned together by homeowners looking to cut both driving and utility costs at once.
