Keystone Adds Single-Zone Mini Splits to HVAC Lineup

September 4, 2026 · ACHR News · Score: 32

A new HVAC brand has entered the mini-split market. Keystone Products is now selling single-zone mini splits, a type of heat pump that heats and cools one room or area without needing ductwork. The line comes in two versions: the Core Series, aimed at lower upfront cost, with efficiency ratings (SEER2) up to 21, and the Summit Series, built for higher efficiency, with SEER2 up to 24 and Energy Star certification.

The systems come in four sizes, from 9,000 to 24,000 Btu of cooling capacity, covering spaces from a small bedroom or home office up to a large basement, addition, or open living area. Each unit can run in cooling, heating, dehumidify, or fan-only mode, and includes Wi-Fi and app control, compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, a temperature-sensing remote, scheduling, and an alert when the filter needs attention. On its quietest setting the unit runs as low as 28 decibels, and even at full power it stays around 45 decibels, similar to moderate rainfall.

For homeowners, this mainly means one more brand and price tier to consider if you're looking at a ductless heat pump for a specific room or addition. The company says each system ships as a complete kit — outdoor unit, indoor unit, and a 16-foot line set — in two packages, which is more about easing installation logistics than changing anything for the homeowner directly. No pricing or rebate information was included.
