Cadillac CELESTIQ Night Test Is Inspired By The Quiet, After-hours World Where Real Performance Is Honed
Cadillac has unveiled a one-of-one custom version of its CELESTIQ electric sedan called the Night Test. It's a design showcase, not a new model or product you can buy off a lot. The car features a dark Caspia Tricoat Metallic paint finish, 23-inch wheels in a dark finish, and a stealth-style lighting bezel around the headlamps. Inside, it has black and gray leather, carbon fiber trim, and brushed metal accents.
The CELESTIQ line is Cadillac's ultra-premium electric flagship, hand-built at the company's Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan, with each car customized to the buyer's own choice of colors, materials, and finishes. This Night Test example is meant to show off how far that customization can go, rather than to introduce any new technology or efficiency feature. It debuts at The Quail, a car show held during Monterey Car Week.
For a homeowner thinking about energy upgrades, this news doesn't carry much direct relevance. It's a look at a luxury electric vehicle's styling and craftsmanship, not a report on EV chargers, home batteries, or any incentives tied to electric vehicles. If you're curious about how EVs fit into home energy plans, this particular story is about aesthetics and bespoke manufacturing, not about cost, charging equipment, or rebates.
