This e-bike fits seven riders, and that’s not even the craziest thing about it
This one is a novelty item, not a typical home energy upgrade, but it's worth a quick mention if you like oddball electric gear. SixThreeZero has released the Long Range Luxury Rickshaw, a three-wheeled electric bike that starts at $7,495 and seats a rider plus two passengers on a bench seat. It runs on two 750-watt motors (1,500 watts combined when both are used) and tops out at 20 mph. What sets it apart is the battery: 7,300 watt-hours, roughly ten times the capacity of a typical e-bike, which the company says is good for up to 120 miles of range.
Buyers can also add $999 "sub-frame" trailers behind the main trike, with seating or cargo baskets, and some versions even come with their own motor and battery. Stack two of these on, and the whole rig can carry up to seven people. Other features include hydraulic disc brakes on all three wheels, fat tires, a suspension fork, headlights, turn signals, mirrors, brake lights, and a front cargo basket.
There's no connection here to home electrification, insulation, or rebates — this is simply a wild-looking piece of consumer e-bike news. If you're someone who tracks electric mobility options alongside home energy upgrades, it's a fun data point on how far battery capacity and modular design have come, but it doesn't affect any rebate programs or home systems.
