Otovo adds InCharge Energy’s EV maintenance skills to service offering

September 25, 2026 · Solar Power World · Score: 18

Two companies that maintain solar, battery, and EV charging equipment are teaming up to make repairs simpler for their commercial customers. Otovo, a solar and battery service company, is partnering with InCharge Energy, which handles EV charging installation and upkeep. The deal lets each company sell and dispatch technicians for the other's maintenance plans, so a business with solar panels, a battery, and an EV charger no longer needs separate contracts and phone numbers for each system.

Behind the scenes, Otovo's software platform, called Endurance, will track and route service requests no matter which company a job starts with, so there's one record for the whole site. Each company still operates under its own name and sets its own customer relationships, but pricing on the shared maintenance plans will match between the two.

This news applies to commercial customers of Otovo, not homeowners directly. But it points to a broader trend worth knowing about: as more houses add solar, battery storage, and EV chargers together, the companies that install and maintain that equipment are starting to bundle service so people don't have to juggle multiple vendors for different parts of their home energy setup. If you already have or are planning several of these systems, it may be worth asking a potential installer or service provider whether they offer this kind of combined maintenance coverage, rather than assuming you'll need a separate contract for each piece of equipment.
