Hyundai launches affordable EV deals with 0% APR and up to $10,000 off

July 9, 2026 · Electrek · Score: 32

Hyundai has kicked off a summer sales event running through August 3, offering 0% APR financing on select models, up to $10,000 in cash bonuses, and flexible lease terms. The biggest discounts go to its electric vehicles: up to $10,000 off the IONIQ 9 SUV and up to $7,000 off the IONIQ 5. Both also qualify for 0% financing for up to 72 months, extra cash off, and no payments for 90 days.

For homeowners weighing an EV purchase alongside other electrification plans, the lease numbers stand out. The IONIQ 5 SE RWD, with an EPA-estimated range of 318 miles, leases for $279 a month (24-month term, $3,999 due at signing) — only $10 more than the shorter-range base model. The three-row IONIQ 9 starts at $369 a month, which Hyundai says is cheaper than comparable leases on the Kia EV9 and Hyundai's own Palisade Hybrid. By comparison, Hyundai says leases on the Tesla Model Y, Chevy Equinox EV, and Toyota bZ all run higher per month right now.

This comes after the federal EV tax credit expired at the end of September, prompting Hyundai to already cut prices on the IONIQ 5 by as much as $9,800 on some trims. Both the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 9 are built at Hyundai's plant near Savannah, Georgia. If you're considering an EV purchase to pair with home charging or other efficiency upgrades, these discounts and low lease rates are worth comparing against what else is available before the promotion ends.
