Hyundai EV Owners Get 20% Discount On Fast Charging

August 22, 2026 · CleanTechnica · Score: 24

Hyundai and Genesis are giving owners of certain electric vehicles a discount on fast charging at IONNA charging stations across the U.S. The discount adds up to 20% off: a 10% discount that applies indefinitely because Hyundai helped found the IONNA charging network, plus another 10% from Hyundai that runs through September 30, 2026. After that date, the extra 10% may go away, but the base 10% is meant to continue.

The discount applies automatically at the charger, with no codes or extra steps, as long as the car can use Hyundai's In-App Charging or Plug&Charge feature through the MyHyundai with Bluelink app. Eligible vehicles include the Hyundai IONIQ 5 (2022 and newer), IONIQ 5 N (2025 and newer), IONIQ 9 (2026 and newer), and KONA Electric (2025 and newer), as well as the Genesis GV60 and Electrified GV70 (both 2026 and newer).

If you own or are considering one of these models, this lowers the cost of charging on the road at IONNA stations, on top of whatever you already pay to charge at home. It does not affect home charging costs or any home energy upgrades, but it is worth knowing about if public fast charging is part of your routine, since the extra 10% discount is temporary and set to expire at the end of September 2026 unless Hyundai extends it.
