SRS Distribution, a subsidiary of The Home Depot, has agreed to buy Lohmiller & Co., a Colorado-based wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies. Lohmiller has four locations in the state, was founded in 1990, and employs 220 people. It supplies Carrier heating and cooling equipment for homes, light commercial buildings, and larger commercial systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The three owners, Tim Brooks, Mark Brown, and Roger Lee, will stay on to run the business after the sale closes. This is the second HVAC distributor SRS has picked up recently, following its purchase of Mingledorff's Inc., a Southeast distributor also tied to Carrier. SRS itself is based in Texas, has more than 1,300 locations across the U.S. and Canada, and was bought by Home Depot in 2024.
For homeowners, this is mainly a behind-the-scenes business move rather than something that changes what's in your house today. It shows Home Depot building out a bigger supply chain for HVAC equipment, including brands like Carrier, which could eventually affect how and where contractors get parts and units, and potentially pricing or availability down the line. There's no announced change to rebates, installation options, or product lines tied to this deal, and no immediate action for homeowners to take.
